Hot Rod Tour of Texas

April 29th-May 1st 2022

Site under construction, so stay tuned for up dates and photos!

“Hot Rod Tour of Texas! Two days, three day or more! This would kick off in Victoria Tx and head North to the Hill County with stops for fuel, scenic photos opportunities. Host hotels each night. Folks wanting to join could pick us up in stop locations as we get closer to your area if ya don’t want to make the full run. Will be a 2022 event to pull this off on a grand scale.”

So, I’ve been connected with some pretty cool Gearheads down in South Central Texas, specifically in Victoria, Texas. In getting into the Car Culture down there, I’ve met Bobby Sparkman, owner of an awesome 1928 Model A truck, known as the F-Bomb Hauler.

Bobby Sparkman’s F-Bomb Hauler is on the right. My 1931 Model A Roadster pickup on the left, and Roger Wall’s 1957 More-Door in the middle.

Bobby’s not content to own and drive great vehicles, he’s also into promoting events. His first, that I know of is, Bikes, Trikes and Power Wheels, a show that’s in it’s 2nd, maybe 3rd year. I’ll get more info on that, for sure.

His latest event, is the Hot Rod Tour of Texas. I’m reaching out to him to get more info in building this page, so hang on for more to come.

Here’s the latest post from Bobby:

“April 29th – May 1st, 2022 are the dates for the Hot Rod Tour of Texas! We will kick off in Victoria, TX Friday morning, April 29th, 2022.

Big Thanks to ALAMO CITY MOTORPLEX, in Marion, TX, the first stop of the tour, on Friday, April 29, 2022 and Little River Raceway, second stop of the tour, on April 30, 2022. Thank you both for your support and working with us to make this happen and bring the tour to both of your awesome facilities.

We have also confirmed, vintage mini bike races will be taking place at both tracks. At Alamo City Motorplex it will be flat track style racing and at Little River Raceway it will be short drag racing by the Demon City Mini Bikes and the North Texas Mini Bikes.

Stay tuned folks, for the April 30th, 2022 final stop announcement.”
